Job Competency Requirements:

Qualification: B. Sc./M. Sc. Chemistry & Advance diploma in Industrial Safety from MSEBT approved.

Experience: Min. 5 to 7 years and above in a LSI/MSI of Fine Chemicals, Specialty Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, API, Bulk Drugs, Dyes & Pigments, Chemicals Company.

Language: Very good command on English, Hindi & Marathi.

Expertise: HAZOP, ISO 2001:2015, 14001, BS OSHAS 18001, Safety Audits, OSEP, Conducting Mock Drills, Safety training, Process Safety etc.

Skills: Technical & Management Skills, Computer proficiency, leadership qualities and handling people.

Job Description:
OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY –
 To ensure proper Implementation of handling of On-site Emergency Plan
 To ensure proper implementation of QHSE Policies and Initiatives in the Plant
 To ensure implementation of all Occupational Health Safety aspects as per the Integrated Management System
 To ensure that the firefighting systems are maintained in good working condition, and third
party inspection is carried out as per schedule
 To review and maintain HIRA, AIS for all existing processes and routine maintenance activities
 To complete analysis of Risks (Hazard Identification and Risk Analysis) and implement Risk Mitigation prior to implementation of new processes and new activities as per
MOC.
 To complete PSSR before commissioning of any Equipment or Location.
 To ensure the conduct of periodic health check- up of all employees and ensuring medical emergencies are promptly attended to
 To ensure the observance of safety PPE in all areas of the Plant
 To ensure all maintenance activities are carried out with adherence to Safety Permit systems where applicable
 To report the timely incidents and ensure timely complete the investigation of incidents and updating in the system
To take immediate remedial action in case of Incident
 To stop operations in case of assessment of unsafe acts/conditions & significant risk of accidents
 To conduct the Safety Rounds of the Plant as per schedule and to note Safety Observations and take remedial action
 To ensure the eye wash fountains, body showers are in working condition and the safety signages are well- maintained
 To ensure the conduct of risk analysis for compliance with statutory requirements
 To carry out Third Party Safety Audits as required
 To improve Safety Culture, implement Behavioral Based Safety Systems and providing Safety Training
 To conduct the Safety Committee Meetings and circulate the minutes of the meeting
 To ensure the availability of PPE in the store
 To plan and conduct Mock Drills in different locations and shifts
