Job Description

Objective (The main purpose of the position)
The objective of the position is to lead the development and execution of comprehensive environmental strategies that ensure regulatory compliance, minimize environmental impact, and align with the company’s sustainability goals. The role is responsible for steering environmental governance across operations, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility, and enhancing the organization’s environmental performance through proactive risk management, innovation, and stakeholder engagement.

EXIM Documentation & Compliance
 Manage and execute all import/export documentation processes in alignment with DGFT, RBI,SEZ, and Customs regulations with banks of the
Company
 Co-ordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders (CHA, freight forwarders, banks, etc.) ensure timely and accurate document flow
required for banking purposes
 Ensure correct and timely submission of shipping bills, bills of entry, invoices, packing lists, BLs, AWBs, and related trade documents to banks

Bank Coordination & Foreign Exchange Compliance
 Handle IDPMS (Import Data Processing and Monitoring System) and EDPMS (Export Data Processing and Monitoring System) entries and
reconciliation in coordination with authorized banks.
 Ensure timely closure of export/import transactions and bank realization certificates (BRCs).
 Liaise with banks for LCs, remittances, advance payments, and foreign exchange settlements.

Customs & Regulatory Compliance
 Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Indian Customs regulations, notifications, circulars, and policies.
 Ensure classification of goods, valuation, and correct duty structures during imports/exports.
 Coordinate with Customs officials for assessments, examinations, audits, and clearances.
 Prepare documentation for customs audits and respond to queries, show cause notices, etc.

SEZ & DTA Transactions
 Manage day-to-day operations for units located in SEZs including BOE/SB filing, approvals, and documentation.
 Handle DTA sales from SEZ units with proper duty payment, valuation, and permission.
 Ensure compliance with SEZ Rules and communication with SEZ Development Commissioners.

DGFT & Import Licensing
 Manage application and utilization of import licenses (Advance Authorization, EPCG, DFIA, etc.).
 File and track all DGFT-related applications, including IEC amendments, MEIS/SEIS claims, EPCG redemption, etc.
 Ensure timely submission and follow-up of returns and compliance documents with DGFT offices.

Duty Drawback Management
 Prepare and file export duty drawback claims including SEZ-specific drawback processes.
 Coordinate with customs and banks for realization, queries, and refunds.
 Maintain proper documentation and track drawback receivables and audit trails.

Audits & Reporting
 Support internal, statutory, and customs audits by providing necessary documentation and clarification.
 Prepare MIS reports related to EXIM operations, duty savings, realization status, and outstanding entries.
 Ensure accuracy and transparency in documentation for audit readiness.

Education Graduate/Post-Graduate in Commerce, International Trade, or a related field. Additional certification in EXIM, Foreign Trade, or Customs Procedures preferred.

Work Experience
Minimum 10 years of experience in EXIM, customs, and SEZ operations in a manufacturing/trading organization. Strong hands-on experience in IDPMS, EDPMS, and DGFT portals.

Knowledge & Competencies
Good understanding of SEZ & DTA transaction norms, customs laws, EXIM policies, and trade documentation.
 Deep understanding of Indian EXIM policy, customs regulations, DGFT procedures, and SEZ rule
 Attention to detail in documentation and compliance
Strong coordination and communication skills (internal & external stakeholders)
 Proficiency in MS Office, ICEGATE, DGFT, SEZ Online, and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred)
 Ability to handle audits, documentation queries, and resolve customs related issues
