Job Description

Job/Profile Description:
 Person should have good understanding of refinery processes, which includes crude/ vacuum distillation unit, FCCU, Coker, Hydro treaters, reformer & Isomerization
units.
Preferred role: Refinery technical service or operations, related work experience in engineering companies.
 Person has to provide technical solutions to emulsion, corrosion, fouling & foaming problems associated with these refinery units.
 Technical assessment of tenders & recommending product & dosage for the same.
 Primary function is to support sales team convert new opportunities into Business & sustain existing treatment program.
 Achieve expertise in understanding Refinery plant challenges, product portfolio, product features and product recommendations.
Design treatment program for bids, new opportunities & associate with EPC/Licensor for new projects.
 KPI management of allotted accounts including gathering of monitoring data, monthly reviews, escalation management, meetings, penalties & over consumption reviews
and justification reports preparation.
 Troubleshooting & course correction of treatment programs associated Refinery applications.
 Prepare Technical reports & presentations for customer meeting, webinar, stake holder meeting etc.
 Work with R&D for precursor analysis, screening additives, application test, root cause analysis, developing new product & prepare technical reports in line with process
understanding.
 Conduct periodical audit/assessment of treatment program at site including face to face
customer meetings.
 Validate simulation model done by team and convert the output in technical reports aligned with the treatment program.
 Publish/present whitepapers & articles in Magazines/Conferences to promote Subject knowledge & Technology.
 Responsible for Inter-departmental activities & communication for initiating MOC, safety stewardship queries, compatibility of products, validating job scope for raising
PO but not restricted to.
 Use Engineering knowledge to review P&ID/datasheet/Injection point checklist & Engineering calculations to derive mass balance, equations etc.
 Ownership of new product trial including preparation of protocol, due diligence, training site team, preparation of monitoring sheet, site walk on need basis,
performance report preparation etc.
 Use of advanced Excel regression, dashboard & SPM charts to showcase root cause analysis.
 Work with team to improve knowledge resources including proposals, questionnaires, case studies & best practices. Build robust database of operating conditions &
technologies.
 Coach the junior member/members to step-up the technical support & build career path for them. Conduct monthly & half yearly performance review discussions.
 Conducting training program for internal & external teams on product portfolio.
Qualification/Requirements:
 BE/B. Tech in Chemical or petroleum Engineering from reputed Institute.
 Having 8-10 plus years’ experience in similar Technical role (Sales & client facing). Max experience of 11-12 years.
 Exposure to Process industries and sound knowledge of unit process/operations is mandatory. Technical services function in Refinery plant and/or refinery process
operation experience is an added advantage.
 Ability to travel 30- 40% max.
 Preferred to have 1-2 years’ experience in plant, handling equipment’s like pumps, compressor, distillation column etc.
 Well-versed in reviewing Process industry flowsheets, datasheets, simulation model sheets & Economic calculations.
 Adept in MS office and has ability to prepare documents/presentations on a short notice.
