Job Description

Responsibilities:
1. Hands on in Material Procurement Planning.
• Need to be very good in xcel (V Look up and Pivot Table)
• Knowledge of Micros is added advantage
• Knowledge of SAP is added advantage
2. Good verbal and written communication skills.
Strong communication with all concerned depts especially with Design and QA.
3. Responsible for procurement of following category of parts
Steel Castings – SGI and Investment castings
Al Castings – PDC and Low Gravity Die Casting
Al Extrusions
Machining of Castings and Extrusions – Involves HMC
Machining of Shafts, Tube and other parts – Involves CNC Turning, Milling etc.
Fabrication of CS and SS parts and their machining
Cold and Hot Rolled Springs
Plating, Painting and Powder coating of components
Injection moulded parts/ Rubber Seals
Various Bought outs like Motors, Pumps, Accumulators, Hydraulic Cylinders and Valves.
Electrical and Electronic parts
Oil/ Grease, Hardwares and Consumables
Packing and related materials.
Import of bought out items
4. Knowledgeable in Vendor Development of SG Iron Castings / Investment Castings and its machining..
• Pattern manufacturing/ Casting process/ Machining of Castings
• Vendors for above processes around Pune/ Ahmadabad/ Sangli/ Kolhapur/ Rajkot.
5. Knowledgeable in Vendor Development of Low Pressure Die Casting/ PDC and its machining having HMC/ CNC
turning is preferred.
6. Good exposure to Import formalities.
7. Good in negotiation skills and related commercial aspects.
8. Need to be able to
a. get quality components (first time right)
b. develop suppliers having lowest lead time of supply.
c. control the inventory
d. reduce the cost of procurement.
9. Till the volume of Procurement work increases the planning for production and execution of product assly need to
be done.
