Job Description
Objective –
Lead the process Safety Management function for the organization and establish, implement, and sustain process safety management standard, procedures, and practices across all sites
1. Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), What-If Analysis, Activity-Based Risk Assessment, Human Factor and Facility Siting, & provide training on process safety (Chemical Hazards, PHA (HAZOP, What-If…), Runaway Reactions, Dust Explosion, PSI, PSSRs, Safety Culture, Emergency Plan, Static Electricity, PSM SOPs, CCPS 20 Elements).
2. Leading HAZOP Team for HAZOP Studies.
3. Participating in process safety incident investigations.
4. Study of process safety during the scale-up of processes from R&D to Pilot Plant & from Pilot Plant to Production Plant.
5. Conducting group risk assessments & PSSR for all new products & processes.
6. Conducting process safety audits to improve the effectiveness of the PSM program.
7. Dispersion modeling for highly hazardous chemicals.
8. Hazardous area classification (HAC)/Electrical classification as per ATEX/IECEx Standards.
9. Chemical reactivity & compatibility evaluation.
10. Process equipment & unit operations—design safety.
11. Evaluation of process safety parameters for raw materials, intermediates, & final products through R&D and/or external process safety laboratories.
12. Participation in the Management of Change (MOC) process.
13. Participation in mechanical integrity & asset reliability program implementation.
14. SOP preparation & implementation of process safety management as per global standards.
