GM – R&D (PO-R)

Job Description

Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of scientist and technologist working for adhesives, sealants, epoxy floorings, grouting, stone processing, industrial coatings, elastomeric adhesives (Rubber and TPU) and various epoxy products for infrastructure needs.
• Keep abreast of competitor’s activities, new trends, new technologies and latest development in relevant field. In depth knowledge of structure property relationship for above applications
• Monitor team for the development of non-infringing process and new products in line with New Product Development (NPD) guidelines of the company
• Generate new ideas for the improvement of existing formulations for targeted properties, reduce cost and user friendly applications
• Identify new raw materials and implement in to formulations to achieve eco-friendliness and free from health hazards
• Scale-up of new products at plant with TE and submission of technology transfer documents along with promotional literature
• Coordination with cross functional teams i.e. sales, marketing, purchase, manufacturing and quality assurance for smooth functioning.
• Visit customers, provide technical solutions and convince for technical aspects on need basis.
• Respond to technical queries, handle complaints and provide technical support.
• Upgrade the skill and knowledge of team and develop them for next level responsibility.
• Identify process | product for patent in coordination with Intellectual Property (IP) team for IP protection
