• Plan and design the field and laboratory experiments in consultation with higher staff pertaining to persistence and dissipation study of various pesticide residues in/on agriculture and horticulture crops and products and environmental samples such as soil and water according to national and international guidelines • Perform survey work to monitor the status of pesticides used during the cultivation and preservation of various crops and products • Responsible for the operation, maintenance and calibration of sophisticated analytical instruments like, GC-ECD, GC-MS/MS, LC-MS/MS. • Monitor Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) activities as well as safety and environmental control of the laboratory as per ISO/IEC-17025 (International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) for testing and calibration laboratories

Handling of sophisticated chromatography and other laboratory equipments for pesticide residue analysis which includes GC, GC-MS/MS, Centrifuge, Turbovap and others

• Preventive maintenance and record keeping of minor instruments and equipments • Responsible for conducting field and intercultural operations in research experiments for agricultural and horticultural crops • Responsible for conducting laboratory experiments and preparation of certified reference materials (CRMs), reagents and chemicals for the analysis of the samples • Collection of field data/observation and day to day monitoring of field experiments • Compilation of raw data of samples from different experiments • Help in survey work to monitor the status of pesticides used during the cultivation and preservation of various crops and products
