Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer (Substation – AIS/GIS) to join our EPC – Electrical team. The selected candidate will be responsible for handling substation projects (AIS – Air Insulated Substations & GIS – Gas Insulated Substations), including project planning, estimation, design coordination, and documentation. This is a desk-based role requiring expertise in MS Office and AutoCAD to ensure smooth project execution, compliance with industry standards, and coordination between stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: –
Project Planning & Execution • Oversee AIS/GIS substation projects from initiation to completion.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to ensure timely execution of projects. Site execution teams, attend meetings with clients for review of progress etc.
• Prepare and review technical documents, including single-line diagrams, general arrangement drawings, and layout plans.
• Assist in project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Tendering & Estimation • Support the planning, tendering and estimation teams in preparing cost estimates and bid proposals.
• Analyze project requirements and evaluate material specifications.
• Coordinate with procurement teams for vendor quotations and technical evaluations.
Design & Documentation • Utilize AutoCAD for verifying and modifying project drawings.
• Develop technical reports, bill of materials (BOM), and as-built documentation.
• Ensure that project designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
• Stakeholder Coordination & Compliance:
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies for approvals and technical clarifications.
• Ensure project compliance with IS, IEC, and IEEE standards.
• Monitor and maintain quality control throughout project execution.
Required Skills & Competencies • Strong knowledge of AIS/GIS substation projects and their technical requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design and layout preparation.
• Working knowledge of MS Office for documentation, reporting, and presentations.
• Ability to analyze tender documents and prepare cost estimates.
Qualifications: –
• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3-8 years of experience in electrical project engineering, preferably in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction).
• Hands-on experience with substation projects (AIS/GIS) is an added advantage.

Working Days: –
• Monday to Saturday (9:30 AM to 6:30 PM)
• 2nd & 4th Saturday – Off
• All Sundays – Off
